No idea where to go for brunch? Tired of all the similar-looking cafes out there? Here at Fashory, we value individuality in all aspects, even our food. Here are some noteworthy places we have on our to-do lists just dying to be checked off.

01. Sin Lee Foods

Playing the nostalgia card, Sin Lee Foods retains its former tenant’s wooden signboard as part of its current branding. It adopts a culinary spin on local favourites, but our favourite has to be “The One and Only” Fried Chicken and Waffles. The fried chicken leg is tender and moist with some house coleslaw on the side to help ease the greasiness.

Blk 4 Jalan Bukit Ho Swee,

02. Super Loco

The sister of popular taqueria Lunch Loco, its laidback, resort-esque vibes coupled with bright cheery colours is the perfect pick-me-up over the weekends while standing out from the usual cafe fare. We can’t leave out the staples such as Huevos Rancheros, an all-time Mexican favourite comprising of fried corn fritters topped with fried eggs, avocado mash and tomato chili salsa.

P.S Super Loco is pet-friendly too!

60 Robertson Quay,

The Quayside,

#01-13,

03. Paddy Hills

The cafe is run by an extremely young crew (their average is probably around 25 years old) but don’t let their age fool you. They feature an extensive menu (both in size and quantity) as well as a potential #OOTD spot in the form of a wall mural outside the cafe. Without a doubt, their signature dish is the Berry Ricotta Hotcake ($19), comprising of blueberries, pine nuts, mascarpone cream and maple syrup presented in one beautiful dish.

38 South Buona Vista Road,

Singapore 118164

04. Antoinette

Named after Marie-Antoinette, the interior of Antoinette is a direct reflection of that. Reminiscent of an elegant saloon, the decadent furnishings will make you feel like royalty. Joining in the salted egg war, their salted egg croissants ($6.50+) hit all the right notes with a more savoury slant.

30 Penhas Road,

Singapore 208188

05. The Replacement Lodge, Johor Bahru

Located in the infamous Jalan Dohby, where numerous cafes have been popping up overnight. One of the most well-received, their minimalistic white wash interior is a Kinfolk fan’s dream come true. Check out their Dark Cocoa studded churros which come out black in colour! Paired with the trendy salted egg dip, it’ll make for a Insta-worthy picture. The best part is if you’re travelling across the Causeway, you won’t even feel the pinch!

33 & 34 Jalan Dohby,
Bandar Johor Bahru,
80000 Johor Malaysia

From Mexican food to Melbourne-style cafes and even upgraded local favourites, there’s bound to be something on this list to satisfy even the pickiest tastebuds. Have a try and let us know how your brunch went!
