Always wondered how some of the most successful women do what they do with the same 24 hours as us? We’re just as curious here at FASHORY, so we’ve compiled some common habits among the most fabulous #girlbosses we envy. After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Before you know it, we’ll be the very #girlboss that others’ look up to *wink*

Just take time away from the daily grind and focus on your own well-being. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy really. Indulging in your favourite Haagen Dazs ice cream, going for a Pilates session or even some retail therapy online (check out FASHORY maybe?) might be just what you need to unwind. Be at peace with your own presence and rejuvenate before commitments start taking over your life.

Gone are the days when being ruthless or cutthroat is an inevitable means to get ahead in life. This may sound real simple, but imagine if you were on the receiving end. Sounds like a pretty good way to make someone’s day. Be it the cleaning lady who comes around your cubicle space or a new business client, treat them with kindness and trust us – they will remember you for it.

It can be as simple as clearing your to-do list or acheiving a major milestone in your career, they are all sources of motivation to keep you going. When you celebrate, you can bask in your victory and take time to evaluate your next step. After all, the joy is in the process.

Not graduating from a formal institute of education has absolutely no bearing on your intelligence level. After all, the most successful are school dropouts. Not that we are encouraging you to stop studying. In fact, we’re encouraging the very opposite. Constantly grow and upgrade your skill sets. Reading widely, attending night classes. They’re all ways and means to help you make informed decisions concerning your career. If you’re truly passionate about what you do, find ways and means to learn from those who came before us.

Don’t have the misconception that just because you’re a #girlboss, you’re expected to tank everything by yourself. If asking someone more skilled in that particular area can value-add to your project, go ahead and ask! It’ll save you a lot of unnecessary stress. Play to your own strengths, and tap on others’ too!

As they say, the joy is in the doing. Enjoy the learning process and you’ll reach your goal in no time!
